Next Chapter

It is time for some changes. We have purchased a home in Texas to be near our children and grandchildren and hopefully will be moving soon. We thought South Carolina would be our last move, but after 10 years of seeing the family only once or twice a year, it was time for a change.

With this move, another change will be happening. I have been volunteering with Operation: Quiet Comfort for 13 years. 10 of those years have been as President of the Board. My devotion to our military has not and will not change. I will be stepping down from the board of directors as of March 1, 2019 and will continue serving our military when and however I can. With six grandchildren in 3 different schools, there should be card signing opportunities! I’m really getting into quilting and will be contributing to that need as well.

It has truly been (and will be) an honor to be part of Operation: Quiet Comfort serving and honoring the amazing men and women serving in harms way to protect us.

13 years ago, our grandson John was 9 years old. He is now serving in the US Army and training to be a Combat Medic. We couldn’t be prouder of John. Have always known the importance of our Medics and now even more.

Please continue supporting our Heroes any way you can. Operation Quiet Comfort can only be there for our Heroes with your support.

Thank you to the remaining board members and best of luck in their new positions.

With gratitude and respect,
Jan Schafnitz-Hogg
